Who is Advanced Behavioral Therapy?

Hello, my name is Tim Kitchens. I am a dual- licensed mental health (LPC) and substance use (LAC) counselor in CO. I've been in the counseling profession for 10+ years, actively working in private practice for over 4 years. I am an Existentially-minded therapist, who uses several psychotherapeutic techniques to reveal more of who you want to be. I work with individual clients who are moving toward change, perhaps only knowing that change is something they need; just might not know how to get that change exactly. They feel compelled to start making something change. I’m here to help you figure out how to make such change last.

What is Advanced Behavioral Therapy?

The aim is to have you start to reveal the person you want to be for yourself, for your families, for your partner(s). We will work on building more awareness of your patterns, your feelings-thoughts, your narrative. We will work on the specific goals you want to get out of this process. You have a lot going on and things just end up feeling like one massive issue.

ABT uses a variety of therapeutic models; from DBT (Dialectal Behavior Therapy) to ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to SFT (Solution-focused Therapy). We will set to create more intention in your daily routine, which creates more purpose in your actions, thereby offering you more meaning in your day-to-day life. It is my intention to listen past the words used and hear the innate need that is trying to be heard. My aim is to walk alongside you and see if there are some things you are carrying that no longer serve who you are trying to be and/or become. ABT offers a chance for you to hear more of you, so you can start being that version of you!

Come see what ABT’s proprietary approach can do for you. Be that through traditional talk therapy or our newly developed group experience:
